Soaking it up

So, we have an awesome dog. She drives us crazy sometimes and hasn't quite learned how to contain herself around company, but she's kind of turning out to be the dog I always wanted. We went to the cottage this weekend for some much needed relaxation and quiet time and brought Charley along for her first taste of Fish Lake. We weren't quite sure how she would do, would she have to be kept on a chain in the yard when outside? Would she have a neurotic freak out and run away never to be seen again? Would she be afraid to jump in the lake? Nope! She spent most of her time hanging out in the yard, swimming, playing fetch, etc. And ALWAYS came back to us when we called her. Not only does it make me happy for Charley that she can feel free to be the dog that she is and for us that we don't have to have as much anxiety about losing her (or at least having to chase after her), but I'm so excited that our boy will have such an awesome dog to hang out with for most of his young life.
